Falling Into Some Theme-a-liscious March Madness

"Ohhhhhhhhh!" she says ".....It's the end of the month already!"  Falalala (Lizzie Kate) still looks like a demented Easter egg.....which is fine because I have until the end of the year to finish and it can always go on the Wipocalypse list. Hee heee!

Oops!  Almost forgot.....the floss I used was left over Cresent Colours Hand Dyed Floss.  The label says  they are not colour fast, so it will be used for ornaments only.  Anything bigger than an ornament gets a gentle bath before it is finished.  That is only a minor inconvenience.  The colours more than make up for it.

This is the other project I worked on in the latter half of February.  It is a 2x2 rib scarf for DS's birthday in Cleckheaton Country 8ply.  I love this stuff.  It is machine washable, easy to knit and cheap.

It is my main March Madness project.  I'm working on Gonna Projects.....You know the ones I mean....The ones I am gonna work on for years and never get  to!  I've been gonna make this scarf for about three years now.  DS's birthday is at the end of April and I have another four balls to knit, wash, dry and post off the finished scarf.

At first I was gonna work on just the scarf until The Missus pointed out that I would probably end up staring into the mouth of madness trying to work on just one project......not a good look!  So a bit of lateral thinking was needed.  It took me until the 28th (glad it was a leap year this year heehee) to figure out what else I'm gonna do.

I'll also be diving into my complimentary stash of cross stitch designs and popping a few stitches into a mini project or three.  They don't need to be finished.....just started, as I know if they are started, they will be finished.....eventually.  The list (which is liable to change at any time) is
- Here Lies My Sleeping Body....... (mystery designer circa 2008)
- Providence (another mystery designer circa 2008)
- Bee Mine (Barbara Ana)
- Cozy Christmas Wishes (another mystery designer circa 2008)
- Waiting For Santa (Helga Mandl)
- I Love Thee (surprise, surprise...another mystery designer)
- Swirlygig (Bent Creek)

I'm off to check out how everyone else fared for the latter half of the month over at the delightful SAL host Geeky Heather's blog.  Why not join us?

Personally I think the demented egg looks great and I love the scarf. Best of luck with March Madness.

LOL! Knitting only on a scarf all month really would drive me mad! =) I like the "Gonna" projects!

Yeah, she is kinda a cross between an alien and Edvard Munch's Scream lol! But the Easter egg look might be helpful considering how close that holiday is...

You have enough projects listed there to keep true madness away during our March Madness festivities. I'll be watching your progress!

I like the idea of working on the "gonna" projects. I have a few of them myself. Reading your post reminds me I need to try and throw in a knitting project since all knitting has kind of fizzled out here.
